I suspect Honda were sick as a parrot when Brawn won both championships last season.

I think the real data on who is fastest will not come out till qualifying on the saturday for Bahrain, I also think Massa is due a championship but what do I know?

As for the Rugby well

I have dual English / Irish parentage I didn’t mind who won the rugby today.

And Northants Saints beat Leicester Tigers today so I’m happy.

The Hurt Locker - One of the best films I’ve seen in a long time - tense and gripping without taking sides or being judgemental.First rate performances throughout and a real sense of the living hell that is Bagdad - if the $200 million computer game wins the Oscar over this then there ain’t no justice - Stunning….

I’ve just watched Gran Torino, if that is going to be Clint Eastwood’s last film as an actor, then he ends on a high. He plays a gnarled, gravelly voiced racist bigot, Korean War veteran. Well acted and directed with (to me) an unexpected ending.

It is excellent - i reckon he must be directing a new movie every 6 months or so - he must realise at 78 he only has a limited time left so may as well make as many as he can…one of the true greats….

I agree, he’s come a long way since he played fresh faced Rowdy Yates in Rawhide in the 60’s. He could go on a while yet as his mother lived into her 90’s.

Moon - Haunting and thought provoking Sci-Fi that harks back to era where all the effort went into the story and ideas and not just the FX - it has a very haunting quality as well - very good

For a brief moment there I thought that was going to be Jodi clutching a whip.  wink

Keeping the western theme going I watched She Wore a Yellow Ribbon yesterday, one of a trilogy of John Ford Westerns starring the Duke himself. Classic.

Saw it advertised and realised I didn’t own it - a quick E-Bay bid later and mine for 99p - its the best of the cavalry trilogy - love John Ford’s films…....

Agreed about Ford, I can and do watch the films time and again. Just spotted that Stagecoach is on sky Classics at 9pm, that’s a job for Sky+.

…and finally, Rugby and Parting. cool smile

It’s all booked; a quick trip across the channel, then a Party on Thursday before travelling up to Murrayfield to watch the match on Saturday. I only hope that ‘Les PéDés de la rose’, manage something approaching a reasonable performance this time around. And yes OK, to Moss, LQ, Paddyboy and the rest, Well played Ireland.
F***, that hurt. shut eye
However, I have a question for you guys about the trip; does anyone use the Parking in Queensway and if so, is it generally easy to find a space?

Merci.

Not sure - I always used to find a meter at Lancaster Gate - they are evenly split between Residents Parking and meters - and are free after 1:30…...

Hi Blindside -

Queensway has 285 parking places and the price you pay depends on how full it is when you arrive. I’ve used it a couple of times and I think it cost about £1 an hour but it really is pot luck.

I know Pauls has used it but I recall him saying that he tended to move the car after 6pm because parking was free in eg Lancaster Gate. (Pauls if you are monitoring this perhaps you can advise?)

This link might help http://www.westminster.gov.uk/services/transportandstreets/parking/masterpark/queensway_trial/

And as far as the rugby is concerned, yes on the day Ireland were slightly better, but they still have a lot of improving to do. I think it is going to be Les Bleus’ year shut eye

Enjoy your game - and your party time!
