Watched the second Sherlock last night - not as good as the first one although a nice Dancing Men ref - with the third one in the post - one of the better franchise reboots of late - and listening to Thin Lizzy - I still reckon Phil Lynott is one of the greatest writers in rock - his songs are full of doomed lovers and doomed warriors and doomed gamblers - as he himself was….a true poet of the language…..

Just finished the third Sherlock episode - very clever in the way they use an original Conan Doyle story to hang the rent of the plot off - some delicious writing and acting although a little unimpressed with Moriaty when he appeaered - a little too Graham Norton to be sinister - lets hope that improves with the second series - but overall very good indeed.

I agree about the Moiarty character although I’d be worried if Graham Norton was creeping up behind me. At first I thought that when they introduced Mycroft he was Moriarty. Hopefully there’ll be a second run next year.

Did see some good news earlier, there won’t be another series of X Factor until 2012 as Cowell is introducing it to the USA, dunno what America has done to deserve this.

Watched District 9… very good movie… Jo’Burg never looked so good! LOL! There is a message in the movie somewhere but I think I am bit too thick to understand it!

Anyone watch Dexter on Friday? The chuppa-chuppa scene was very good! You don’t really see a lot of that on telly!

District 9 is excellent - and setting it in South Africs with all the aparthied references was realy clever - loved the guy who played the central character - he was really obnoxious at first but you ended up having a fair amount of sympathy for him - mind - that accent could strip paint at a hundred yards….
