Watched ‘The Blind Side’ based on the true story of the Baltimore Ravens Offensive Tackle Michael Oher.

Excellent movie starts with a clip of the most horrific day in the life of a Washington Redskins fan, the day Lawrence Taylor of the New York Giants broke Washington Redskins Quarterback Joe Thiesman’s leg and the position of left tackle which Michael Oher plays became one of the most important positions on the offensive line, the left tackle is there to protect the quarterback’s blind side as he looks to pass the ball.

Cargo - Gripping and effective Swiss Sci-Fi - first 40 minutes or so filled with a growing sense of unease and a lot of the ideas are really interesting(albeit not that original) and the ending is a bit muddled but it has a haunting thoughtful quality that bears comparison to Moon 4/5

Shelter -  One of those movies that needs a total suspension of belief to work - but if you do it is fairly worthwhile - the ending doesn’t bear too much close inspection but Julliane Moore is good and Jonathan R-H has fun trying on all the multiple personalities. 4/5

The Last Airbender - yes, I am 10 years old…. my son and I loved it… and the rest of the crowded cinema. Great special effects and very close to the Nick cartoon series. Two fingers up to those “luvvy” reviewers in the papers and TV who panned it.. they can go and chup my ass! 5/5

he’s probably at the pimping station…...and was going to post up at how I nearly parked my lunch at Blairs’s decision over his Royalities - but that is politics and not allowed - so this posting never happened….I was never here…..

and had my Doctor Who boxed set through - and very nice it is as well - 4 episodes per disc in a neat little box with a booklet - with all the confidentials gathered per series on the extra disc - should help pass the long winter evenings….

Just ordered my Dr Who box set, something has to get me through summer shut down, also I’ve seen an Eastwood 35 movie box set on Amazon for around 80 quid.
