Watched the worse film ever… turned it off after 20 mins…. the kids recorded it as it was made by the people who made The Mummy and had christoper ecclestone in it…. he was so bad with the worst scots accent ever… AWFUL !

Even Sienna Miller wasn’t that sexy!

Bloody awful here our car park is like a bloody ice rink, cars skidding all over the place, and one bloke demolished the security fence at the rear of the building. Some good did come of that as we could walk directly to the pub, rather than schlepping round the long way.

6.4/10 on IMDB… not bad…. and Emma Bell is very hot… she is in “The Walking Dead” and Dollhouse… one very lush lady!

well done England… so funny the Aussies hoping for rain… the irony of it! Shame Russia or Qatar don’t play cricket… but I guess if they did they would “win”....

Highlight of the day - ordered a telly for the bedroom as we are in for a long hard winter so lots of movies snuggled under the duvet…..Argos were doing a 19 inch combo but the girl on the helpdesk said there was a special on the 26 inch - so just had to say “a few inches extra in the bedroom always helps” - she just cracked up and once she had recovered said “i know - that is so true” - damn - should have got her phone number…..

Movie catch up weekend so

Year Of the Dragon - Michael Cimino’s excellent Chinese gangster movie with a superb performance from Mickey Rourke - unrecogansible from the ravaged being we now know and love - admittidly the romance with the Chinese TV star is laughably preposterous but very effective none the less.

Twilight Eclipse - better than the second one but still fairly dull - all that teenage mooning is beyond tedious- and the scene in the tent was defintaly straying into Brokeback land - if you wern’t a vampyre I’d take you firmly from behind….and was reminded of Date Night with Jacob - for God’s sake put your shirt on…...

In a Dark Place - modern update on The Turn of the Screw - creepy and very atmospheric - with good performances from both leads and a curious enigmatic ending - well worth it

Toy Story 3 - everything I expected and more - from that great Western opening to Ned Beatty’s evil bear and the whole Indiana Jones sequence in the landfill site - it was terrific - and Buzz turning Spanish is one of ther funniest things I’ve seen in ages…..and did I cry at the end?  - what do you think…..

Frozen - dear god as an exercise in pure terror it takes some beating - simple idea - 3 college kids get stuck on a chairlift when everyone goes home but so much tension is built you are a gibbering wreck by the end - not for the faint hearted - several scenes will have you more than wincing….

Twilight Eclipse
>> I am forced to watch this by my 13 year old daughter… but to her credit she takes the piss out of it alot! We prefer Vampire Diaries which should really be in ITV1.

Toy Story 3
>> Yep… I had a weep…. it got to me… I remember my “Six Million Dollar Man” doll I had when I was little and I had to give it to my kid brother…. sob….

Right - I know its a bit late - but forget the Cage against the Machine for Xmas number - how about the original Many of Horror by Biffy Clyro - although I am typing this with clenched teeth the X Factor version isn’t as horrible as I expected and the guy has made a decent choice - but compared to the original - dear me

and here’s the proof

Probably won’t mean much to anyone else but a moments reflection at the sad passing of Don Van Vleit aka Captain Beefheart - a true individual genius in both music and painting - all of his albums have given me great pleasure over the years and although he hasn’t made music since 1982 to concentrate on painting - the world is a little less bright today….
