Somers Town - Another little gem from Shane Meddows - not as powerful as This is England but some fine performances really get you engaged with the story - lovely B&W photography as well - 3.5/5

Hmm I might have to have a look at this as I was born in Somers Town and lived across the road from Euston Station till I was 11.

Colin - Eerie, disturbing zombie movie from the perspective of one of the zombies - made on an increadibly low budget it’s very effective with a haunting soundtrack - 4/5

Which version - I assume the recent remake…..and just finished Hancock - great idea of a superhero who’s a drunken bum and causes more devestation than he saves - but the second half…..what on earth was that all about - almost seemed to have wandered in from a diffirent movie…..wot a waste of a good potential 2/5

I watched Defiance earlier Sky+ from last night. Very good and Daniel Craig proving he can do more than Bond. 4/5 IMO.

Just finished The Girl who played with Fire - the follow up to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - if the first one blew me away then this on left me a gibbering wreck - I could actually feel the sweat on my brow as I finished the final pages - awesome - need to read the third and final one before the year is out….

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince - After the last two cracking installments this one was a real let down - the final half hour is terrific and sets up the Final Battle nicely but it takes ages to get there - there is too much stuff that doesn’t move the plot forward one bit with a real feeling of get on with it…..it looks great and Jim Broadbent is a great addition but overall a real dip in the series…..

Guy Ritchies “Rock N’Rolla”. Another “Lock, stock” alike, quite watchable if slow in the beginning, but a good ending 3.5/5

cool smirk

I thought it was great! 4/5

and its true - real life does sometimes imitate LMP - was on a conference call this afternoon and one of the cutomers had a very strong French accent - we are talking deep into LQ territory - once we had agreed to re-boot the Gateway - or Re-bit the Gootway -  tongue laugh I had to put myself on mute as the laughter was threatening to take over…....

I very nearly passed in my poonts - apparanlty they are coming in for a site visit next year - better book a day off as I just couldn’t hack it…. : red face

For all those who have not seen it, BBC2 21h00 tonight. Best film ever made.
