Caught up on the current series of Secret Diary of a call girl last night and I am convinced a street scene in the latest episode was filmed on Lancaster Gate just a hundred yards or so from our fav place. Anyone else spot it?

Haven’t seen it but not surprised. There is regular filming outside and surrounding streets. In fact , as I type, there is filming going on 20 yards down the street.
Something called Lady M memoirs I think….............

I’m pretty sure I saw them filming that last year outside one of the hotels in Lancaster Gate. It was after an evening session down the ol’ Moulin Rouge and I hung around to see what happened.

About half a dozen takes for probably 20 seconds of screen time with a whole army of fluffers, muffers, best boys, grips, whips, body doubles, stand-ins, extras etc.

All to get a shot of Billie Piper coming out of the hotel, walking away and pulling off a wig.

Felt like telling the director that if he wanted some really good material he should drop in at a basement a couple of hundred yards up the road!

Gawd knows where they’d put all the flunkies and production team, though. And who would be Biggie’s body double?

Besides, in Biggies case, surely it should be at least body treble??
