by popular demand and now that the Premiership season is over - a new thread for what’s coming up in June - will he play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2….worked fairly well in Italia 90…..and will Becks get a coaching role?

True - there is something about Amsterdam and Heinenkin….and I was lucky enough to see the mighty Zep at Knebworth in August 1979 - a mate at school in 1975 had an elder brother who had got tickets for the legendary Earls Court gigs but my Mother wouldn’t let me go as I was too young to travel up to London….something I’ve never forgiven her for…...got various recordings of the sets - the fifth and final night they played for 3 hours 47 minutes - what band will do that today…..BTW tickets were £2.50…....make you weep….

anyway before we get complaints better get back to the world cup….

Well done stevieb

Also completely agree with you on Zep - applied for tickets to the O2 concert but was unlucky. What was worse was that I ended up in london that day and could see all those making their way there. Did you get tickets for that?

Same as you - applied but no joy - seen most of it on YouTube and it did look awesome - pity Robert Plant decided it was a one off and no more…..reckon I’d better rename this as this any old Zeppelin guff thread at this rate…..

Sorry to keep it off topic…. LOL

I’m jealous now….wish i could’ve seen them live. I was only 9 or 10 when John Bonham died though downer

I got heavily into them in my late teens though, and when Jimmy Page released a solo album in 1988 i think, he toured too and i saw him at Hammersmith cool grin  Jason Bonham was on the drums. It was awesome. He played a few Zep songs, and for Starway to Heaven the vocalist didn’t sing a word…the crowd sung it!! Spectacular!! My personal highlight though was being really surprised to see him play In My Time Of Dying, one of my all time Zep faves. Every hair on my body stood up like a boner at a party LOL Spine-tingling moments!!

I also saw the Page/Plant tour a few years later at Wembley Arena!!

But anyway….yeah, back to the World Cup…..  smile

I just hope at the parties when Brazil plays that all the Brazilian girls don’t sit upstairs watching the games LOL

re: Led Zep - brilliant band

But, er.. I did fall asleep in the middle of one of their gigs in the late 70ies or early 80ies!

It had been a rather good few days of partying though.

Hey ho, as some would say - the song remains the same.

After all the hoo haa about John Terry’s foot injury in the week we now have to wait and see if Germany’s Captain Michael Ballack has sustained a major injury in the FA Cup Final today.

Which reminds me of the pre 2002 World Cup, if Campbell scores I’ll celebrate with a bottle of Sol, if Beckham scores a glass of Becks, I just thank God Seaman is a goalkeeper.  LOL
