Just a thought following the success of the LMP Football World Cup Sweep last year I’m surprised our colleague Blindside Flanker hasn’t suggested a similar event for the Rugby World Cup which is due to start in September.

Unlike the Football World Cup there are only 20 teams taking part.

THe same, but the same New Zealand that won on home soil in 1987. I think that the other Southern Hemisphere teams, Australia & South Africa will be in contention.

So England have named their squad for the Rugby World Cup ... guess we’ll have to wait until September 10th to find out if they made the right decisions.

Still can’t see beyond one of the Southern Hemisphere teams to win it.

I know its great - but for me it just doesn’t have the passion of the Six Nations - maybe cos its February and that’s all you’ve you got to see you through those dark days(apart from LMP natch) - Six Nations - wine - 7 girls - there is a God after all….

England start against Argentina tomorrow, at least that pesky Maradonna won’t be handballing.

I said earlier in this that I can’t see beyond a Southern Hemisphere team, probably the All Blacks to win this. England were poor yesterday but will win the group and reach the knockout stage, once there anything can happen as England proved 4 years ago when they reached the final.

A fairly routinewin for England in the end. Quite impressed with the Gorgian side but with injuries I think they ran out of steam.

couple of the big fellas in the Georgia side were at the centre of everything and hard to stop.
A better performance by England than last weekend but as Phil says maybe a little flattering as Georgia side were flagging at the end.
